Casey celebrates Australia Day

AUSTRALIA Day celebrations will be held across the City of Casey.
Casey mayor Colin Butler said Australia Day on Friday, 26 January was an opportunity for people to unite and celebrate the national day.
“This is a great time to gather with friends and family, meet up with neighbours and appreciate how lucky we are,” he said
Celebrations in Casey include Doveton Australia Day Actively Diverse Celebrations, featuring live performances, sports demonstrations, healthy food stalls and jumping castles at Betula Reserve, Kidds Road, Doveton from 10am to 3pm.
Australia Day Sunset Cinema Coastal Villages will have a free openair cinema, face painting, live entertainment and stalls at Sawtells Inlet, Tooradin, from 7pm to 11pm.
Berwick Australia Day Celebrations will feature live performances, interactive activities, food stalls and much more at Pioneers Park, corner Peel Street and Lyall Road, Berwick, from 11am to 3pm.
Other events include Australia Day Music at the Park Live performances with Teskey Brothers playing funky rhythm and blues, and band Reflections at Wilson Botanic Park, 668 Princes Highway, Berwick, from 12.30pm to 5.30pm.
Casey Fields will have a free sausage sizzle, come and try sport activities, fishing, bungee run, jumping castle and more from 10am to 1pm.
Myuna Farm will give one free train ride around the farm a person at 183 Kidds Road, Doveton, from 10am to 4pm.
Admission is families $15, single $5.
The Old Cheese Factory will hold a free heritage exhibition at 34 Homestead Road, Berwick, from 10am to 4pm.
The Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne’s Australian Garden will have free tastings at the Garden Shop and free entry for children aged under 16 from 9am to 5pm.
Admission is adults $9, concession $6.75 and children under 16 free.
