ROC crushes Doveton

ROC Netball Club’s Bgrade team kept the pressure on Doveton for the whole game to run out 57goal winners in round 16 on Saturday.
Starting strongly, ROC was able to maintain confidence and an optimistic approach all game.
Taking the lead at halftime didn’t kill the team’s spirit and it continued to work hard with defence creating many turnovers.
The goalers shot brilliantly with incredible accuracy, while the midcourt was swift to drive the ball down the court.
Scores: ROC 77 d Doveton 20.

ROC started the game strongly, but was unable to gain a lead, resulting in the team down by four goals at quarter time.
ROC’s midcourt created many opportunities for the goalers, with defence taking many intercepts and providing Doveton with a strong opposition and weren’t far behind at half time.
However Doveton tested the team’s stamina and played a strong game. The goalers shot well in the final quarter, but were unable to gain a lead.
Scores: ROC 17 lost to Doveton 31.

A strong and positive start to the game saw ROC ahead in the first half by 13 goals.
The defence worked hard repelling the ball and claiming many turnovers. The team adapted well to positional changes and cleverly utilised some great opportunities down the court.
During the final half, ROC was unshaken by Doveton’s efforts and went on to an excellent win.
Alyce Mason worked beautifully in goals, shooting 23 of the 35 for the game.
Scores: ROC 35 d Doveton 11.
Best: Alyce Mason and Kate Quinn.

Scores: ROC 13 lost to Doveton 33.
Best ROC: Lauren Mynott.

Doveton was strong, resulting in a lot of work for the ROC defence that capitalised on turnovers when possible.
The midcourt fed the ball into the goal well during the third quarter, however Doveton was quick to claim intercepts.
Scores: ROC 6 lost to Doveton 27.
