Berwick (2) played Edithvale (1) at home.

Berwick 109 shots Edithvale 105 Berwick won by four shots.
Berwick (3) played Edithvale (2) away.

The winning rink of the week, two weeks in succession was: W. West (skip) J. Copplestone (third), B. Pitt (second) A. Barrie (lead).

LILA COTTER DAY

The ladies section ran The Lila Cotter Day that was a most successful and enjoyable day on Sunday, 3 December.
There were 34 teams from far and wide competed that played three games of 10 ends.
Called a ‘Christmas Fantasia’, this event was sponsored by Ye Olde Berwick Inn.
The ladies, led by president Jean Fothergill decorated the clubhouse with a Christmas theme.
There were all sorts of craft stalls stocked with goods made over the winter months by the Berwick ladies.
The Christmas luncheon was organised by Claire Charman and a band of helpers and all that attended voted it an excellent day.
The winning team was Bundoora that scored 52 points.
Runnersup were Jette Jans’ team from Berwick with 51 points.
First game winner was Betty Brown’s team from Berwick.
Second game winner was Marian Steven’s combined team and thirdgame winner was Donna Wood’s team from Frankston City.
Bowls secretary, Wendy West and the match committee thanked all teams who attended and made it such a successful day.

VLBA PRESIDENT’S HANDICAP

The VLBA president’s handicap semifinals and final was played on Friday, 1 December and the winner was Patricia Thompson with runnerup Jette Jans.
