LANGWARRIN shot to unbackable favourites to complete backtoback Nepean League premierships after convincingly accounting for secondplaced Frankston on Saturday.
The Kangaroos were in control from the word go and cruised away to win by 52 points, led by star small man Ryan Grose who kicked three goals in a bestonground performance.
Pearcedale had its third victory of the season when it downed bottom side Red Hill by 26 points.
Luke Damon kicked three goals, while Dean Wagner and Daniel Moss were in outstanding touch.
Dromana won a tight match against Tyabb by six points on the back of a fivegoal haul from Simon Goosey, while Rye and Rosebud had close victories over Sorrento and Somerville respectively.
It was a round of upsets in MPNFL Peninsula League with Seaford inflicting top side Mt Eliza’s first loss of the season and Martin Pike’s Hastings winning its first game of 2006.
Seaford rallied in the final term to down the overconfident Redlegs by 13 points, despite trailing by 22 points at threequarter time. Star forward Jason Marsh kicked three goals.
Hastings stormed home with five lastquarter goals to upset Bonbeach by 12 points, with interleague defender Michael Agnello named best afield.
In the other unexpected results of round seven, Pines defeated secondplaced Chelsea by 10 points with youngster Travis Pastuka snaring five goals.
Victories went to Mornington over Frankston YCW and Karingal over EdithvaleAspendale in the other two games on Saturday.
