Bats star in run chase

NARRE Warren’s turfone bats made short work of a 230 run chase against St Mary’s at Carroll Reserve on Saturday, winning by five wickets.
Dwayne Thomson and Dima Dimakopoulos started well to be 30 after 10 overs.
After Thomson fell, a good partnership followed with UK recruit Dean Williams and Dimakopoulos.
Williams fell for 22 and John Simpson 10.
This brought new captain Wendell Perumal to the crease and with Dimakopoulos put on a quick partnership of 75, Dimakopoulos 64 and Perumal 51.
Enter Dwayne Scott and Prateek Munjal.
Scott finished with 27 from 29 balls not out and, Hawthorn recruit, Munjal 22 from 45 balls not out.
