The best of both worlds

WE welcome another Berwick Show, where we put the best of country and rural life on display.
The Berwick Show Society committee members have worked continuously to ensure a great show for 2007.
This year there are several new attractions, with The Monster Truck being the highlight. Samson will perform three shows, two on Saturday and one on Sunday.
Saturday night events on the arena will include the sixbar horse jumping and family fun activities.
I wish to thank all committee members for the past 12 months work leading up to the show.
A great effort is made by all and we must not forget that volunteers run the show society.
I specially mention our sponsors, especially Westfield for coming on board this year, and the continued support by the City of Casey.
The twoday show emphasises the exceptional variety of the area by promoting rural and country features.
Berwick Show certainly brings the country to the city with its large horse and cattle events. The art and craft, photography, horticulture and school sections will show some outstanding displays as well as many other features including the woodchopping, blacksmith, dog high jump, ute competition, show quest and livestock displays.
Carnival rides, side shows and show bags will also be present, with some crowdpleasing events in store.
The committee and I look forward to seeing all the families enjoy the twoday spectacular.
Peter Wenn,
President,
Berwick Show Society.
