PAKENHAM Police are seeking some mudsplattered vandals after five trucks and several earthmovers had their windows smashed at the Pakenham Bypass construction site last Wednesday night.
Pakenham Senior Sergeant Russell Patten said a number of trailbike riders were seen in the area and police would like to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of the bypass on the evening of 5 July.
“It’s very muddy,” he said, “so anyone down there would have walked away with a whole lot of mud all over them.”
Senior Sergeant Patten said the vandals threw rocks through the vehicles’ windows and then stole fire extinguishers from inside the trucks. The damage was estimated at about $4100.
