Berwick v Narre Warren Black
At 8.45am Sunday morning, everyone was wide awake and Berwick came out in the first quarter firing on all cylinders.
Strong defensive work kept Narre to just one point and its running players through the centre got the ball down to the forwards who kicked well for a 19 point lead at the first break.
Berwick was kept scoreless in the second term and a determined Narre took the lead by one point into the main break.
Berwick had the ball in its forward line for most of the third quarter, but inaccuracy was costly, kicking two goals eight points.
However in the last quarter with the chance of the grand final, Berwick lifted and went on to a good win.
Scores: Berwick 5.10.40 d Narre Warren 4.5.29.
