Charges laid after woman is injured

AN INCIDENT in Officer on Saturday has resulted in a 32yearold Mount Eliza man being charged with recklessly causing injury.
The incident has left a woman in hospital with a cut on her head after police say she was injured with a walking cane.
The 33yearold woman was in the car with her husband, 36, when an argument began with another driver on the corner of Princes Highway and Whiteside Road at 7.50pm.
She was taken to Casey Hospital by ambulance for treatment.

A 48YEAROLD man has been bailed to appear before Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 24 February after he was arrested for speeding.
Police say he was found to be three times over the legal alcohol limit.
The man was stopped on the South Gippsland Highway last Monday 9 January at 5pm after police say he was caught driving at 158km/h in a 100 kilometre zone.
Police said at the time the man was also using his mobile phone and weaving across the road.
He was taken to Pakenham Police Station where police say he recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.141.
He was charged with conduct endangering persons, manner dangerous, driving under the influence of alcohol, exceeding the prescribed limit, speeding and four other charges.
A TRAILER attached to a car was stolen from the front yard of a Pakenham home last week.
The car and trailer were parked on the front lawn of the Paramount Way home.
The trailer was stolen some time between 8pm on 12 January and 5.45am on 13 January.
The trailer is marked with ‘HJB Group All Trade Maintenance’ and has the registration plate D89 527.

POLICE are searching for two men who attacked and stole a bike from a group of youths in Pakenham on Saturday.
Police said the driver and front passenger of a car got out and verbally abused the youths before kicking the victim in the shin, picking up his bike and throwing it onto the road.
They then stole another of the bikes, a Hoffman Disruptor, putting it in the boot of their car.
The driver was described as about 20 years old, of Maori or Islander appearance, with blackishblond hair, six feet tall, solid build, wearing jeans, yellow hiking boots and a white top.
The passenger was described as six foot two, Caucasian, with blond tips in his hair.
A female passenger of Maori appearance was also in the car.
