A TOP round of nett 66 gave Les King the monthly medal at Garfield Golf Club on Saturday.
As well as the monthly medal, the day was also the annual Mirboo North Challenge. CCR for the day was 68.
Results:
Agrade winner: Nathan Condon (handicap six) 75 on a countback. Bgrade: Les King (18) 80. C grade: Mick Howsin (23) 86.
Handicap A grade: Steven Smith (14) 66 on a countback. B grade: Les King (18) monthly medal, 62. C grade: Mick Howsin (23) 63.
Nearest to pins – fourth: Gordon Palmer, eighth: Syd Garrett, ninth: Steve Smith, 11th: Liam Fraser, 14th: Greg Needham, 16th: Warren Cook.

MIRBOO NORTH CHALLENGE

Fifteen players travelled from Mirboo North Golf Club for the annual challenge but narrowly lost. Garfield 956, Mirboo North 963. Women: Jeanette Mitchell 68, CCR 69, handicap 30.
This week: Stableford and first round of the Summer Cup.
There was no play last Thursday due to coring of the greens.
