Police warn over unlocked cars

A SPATE of thefts from motor cars has prompted a warning to residents not to leave their vehicles unlocked.
Police issued the warning after more than 30 cars were broken into last month.
Cardinia District Inspector Chris Notman said too many people left their cars unlocked.
Almost twothirds of the breakins were reported from cars that were not locked, he said.
Police also reminded residents not to leave valuables in their cars.
