A PAKENHAM man has been charged with attempted murder following an altercation with a Berwick woman he met on the Internet.
Narre Warren detectives have also charged the 29yearold with intentionally causing serious injury and with theft of motorcar.
Police said the charges related to an incident at a Pioneer Court home in Berwick on Tuesday, 25 September in which a 37yearold Berwick woman received stab wounds to the neck and several lacerations to her body and injuries to her jaw.
She was taken to Dandenong Hospital and police this week said she was still undergoing medical treatment.
The Pakenham man was remanded in custody and is listed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 9 January for a committal mention.
