CORA LYNN fought out close games with Lang Lang last week, coming away with three senior wins.

A GRADE

Cora Lynn fought hard for four quarters. All players put in great efforts to come back from being four down to win by two goals Scores: Cora Lynn 41 d Lang Lang 39. Award: Sarah Hester.

B GRADE

Cora Lynn was able to stay with Lang Lang in the first half while sorting out the game plan. At halftime a few changes were made and Cora Lynn was able to capitalise. The win was set up in the third quarter and then finished off strongly in the final term. Scores: Cora Lynn 37 d Lang Lang 27.

C GRADE

Cora Lynn put in four strong quarters of netball to defeat Lang lang by one goal in an exciting game. Pressure was applied in the first half, resulting in many turnovers, and then the goalers combined well to provide many opportunities later in the tense game. Scores: Cora Lynn 40 d Lang Lang 39. Awards: Tahlie Petersen, Jess Van Diemen.

D GRADE

Cora Lynn started well in the first quater with all girls working brilliantly as a team. Both goalers shot well and were fed excellently.Cora Lynn played strong in defence but Lang Lang was just too strong in the end.

E GRADE

Cora Lynn improved as the game went on and in a great final term outscored Lang Lang. Scores: Lang Lang 19 d Cora Lynn 8. Best: Ashlee Edwards, Kelli Chamberlain, Rebecca McTighe.

CLUB NOTES

The annual cocktail night is coming up on 20 May. This Saturday night is the players’ auction, starting at 7pm in the clubrooms, and friends are welcome.
