Cycle pressure group

THE Casey Cardinia Cycling and Human Powered Vehicle Club has formed a committee to focus on recreational cycling.
The club has invited people interested in recreational cycling to attend the inaugural meeting of the committee in the Beaconsfield Community Complex at 7.30pm on Wednesday, 15 March.
Club chairman John Perrin said the committee wanted to focus on recreational cycling as part of its development of human powered vehicle and cycling activities.
Mr Perrin said the initial objectives of the new group were to help develop interesting and enjoyable cycling opportunities for the community.
He asked people to become a voice for recreational cycling within the Casey and Cardinia Council areas.
“We need to initiate a bicycle user’s group and be affiliated with Bicycle Victoria.”
Mr Perrin said this would allow representation of community interests, liaison with Casey and Cardinia councils for the development of interests in recreational cycling, and promote and expand the community participation rates in recreational cycling.
