Nyora shows its class

NYORA’S B-grade team combined well to down Pakenham outright on first innings on Saturday.
Nyora made 4/99 and Pakenham made only 34 and did no better in the second innings, being bowled out for 37.
Matt Hutchinson finished with 6/9 off nine overs and Nick Fairbank gave great support to finish with 2/10.
Andrew Cavigan chipped in with 1/1 off one over.
Nyora’s opening bowlers completed 38 overs for 14 wickets.

D GRADE

Nyora started the chase for Beaconsfield’s 196 badly, losing 7/75.
The tail wagged hard and the remaining batsmen got within 23 runs of the Beaconsfield total before succumbing.
Kelvin Toogood top scored with 44, Aiden Cumberland chipped in with a handy 16, Luke Romeul 19 and Drew Breen batted well for 13 not out.
Beaconsfield 196 d Nyora 177 on the first innings and batted again, finishing with 3/41 at stumps.

F GRADE

Nyora was all out for 67 and lost to Devon Meadows 5/149.
Batsman Rob Gillante top scored with 43, while 16-year-old Carlos Casero picked up two wickets,
Chris Simmons, A. Ford and J. Cadd finished with one wicket.

UNDER 16

Nyora 3/32 is in a good position to beat Kilcunda-Bass that was all out for 74.
Caress Casero bowled well for his 4/27 off eight overs, joined by Aaron Cockram 2/11, Luke Tagleaferro 2/17 and Billy Hayes 2/7 who all bowled well to restrict Kilcunda-Bass to 74.
Nyora batted and at stumps was 3/32.
Aaron Cockram was out for 12 with Billy Hayes nine not out and Aaron Ford not-out for one.

UNDER 12

Nyora finished on 6/93 in its match against Cardinia.
Jack Strybosch and Gavin Hackett retired on eight each, while Nathan Samual retired for 12.
Jay Breen made 11, Michael Van Wheel eight and Tom Cahill, Dylan Ford, Alex Tuckner and Sarah Samual batted well.
