Pair peak for points at Drouin

A TOTAL of 72 points was enough to give Barry Cunningham and Wayne Roberts the Agrade win in the twoball aggregate Stableford event at Drouin Golf Club on Saturday.
There was a field of 90 players and runnersup were Mick Lithgow and Geoff Closter with 71 points.
In the B section, the Piner brothers Tony and Robert took the points with 67 from Mark Smith and Chris Bryden with 66.
Rod Hammond won the propin on the fifth.
Nearest the pin on the 14th was Ian Dorsie and on the 17th was John Fusinato with an eagle to Wayne Robbins on the easy parfive seventh.
Downtheline balls were paid to 65 points.

WEDNESDAY RESULTS

There were 101 players who faced the breeze in a stroke competition with a CCR of 71.
A grade saw the continued good form of Kevin Johnson (12) with 68 to take out A grade from Brett Dessent 69.
B grade was won by Bob Jewell (18) 67 and runnerup on a countback was Gordon Warren with a creditable 69.
Nearest the pins were Terry Palmer on the second Geoff Hewson on the 19th and John Gardiner collected the propin 23rd.
Phil Edwards played a magnificent drive with his putter on the 23rd par four and members were asking if he putted with his driver.

COMING EVENTS

The annual tournament starts this week and there are still spots in the field, contact Danny to get a start.
