POLICE and the City of Casey have asked residents organising Christmas and New Year’s Eve parties to register with the PartySafe.
This can help ensure the event is safe, enjoyable and causes minimal disruption to neighbours and the community.
Casey acting manager of community safety Caroline Bell said Christmas and the New Year were times for celebration.
“PartySafe is a very practical crime prevention tool to help people minimise the risk of having intoxicated guests or gatecrashers and, ultimately, to ensure the party is enjoyable,” she said.
The PartySafe program allows residents to register their party at a police station a fortnight prior to the event.
