Top team to the fore

ROBYN Dodge and Rita Waugh teamed well to win the ladies foursomes championship at Berwick Montuna Golf Club on Wednesday last week.
With a handicap of 26, they played excellent golf over the two rounds to score 198.
Glenda Gorton and Carol Ronalds (handicap 33 1/2) also played well to be nett champions with 144 1/2.
The daily winners were Glenda Gorton and Carol Ronalds (33 1/2) with 69 1/2.
Nearest the pin on the ninth was Eunice Dickson and on the 18th was Pat Clydesdale.
The eighth monthly medal, a stroke event, was played on Saturday, 30 September.
The winner was Maureen Dean (handicap 17) with 84 gross and 67 nett. Runnerup was Laureen Kann (handicap 38) with 107 gross and 69 nett.

SUNDAY RESULTS

On 1 October was a fourballbestball guest day.
Winners were Rose Stewart (handicap 23) from Berwick Montuna and Cheryl Moyle (handicap 19) from Churchill Park with 41 points.

COMPETITION WINNERS

Some Berwick Montuna ladies have performed well in competitions around the district.
On Friday 22 September at the Mornington Peninsula District Championships held at Sorrento, Denise Todd won the Bgrade handicap division.
Patricia Clydesdale was runnerup in the stroke division in Cgrade held at Flinders.

NINE AT NINE

This has become very popular and is lowstress golf held every Monday.
