YMCA Cardinia Life are hosting a walk for women to celebrate International Women’s Day this Thursday, 8 March.
Newly appointed Community and Families coordinator at Cardinia Life, Melanie Wursthorn said the event was an opportunity for women to get together for a short walk and breakfast and to meet socially and celebrate on the international day.
The walk will start at 8am at the YMCA and will take about half and hour.
“Women of all abilities will be able to participate,’’ she said.
Ms Wursthorn said the walk would take one of two routes depending on the weather, either around the nearby oval or along the Toomuc Creek track.
Participants on the walk will then be invited to join in celebrating International Women’s Day with a Community Breakfast.
Ms Wursthorn said the breakfast would be a healthy start to the day with fruit, cereals and toast served. The walk and breakfast is a free event. Inquiries to 5945 2888.
