$11 million pool opens with a splash

LAST one in is a rotten egg!
That was the call from Tayla, Molly, Owen and Mel who were among the first to make a splash at Pakenham’s new pool.
The $11 million Cardina LiFE centre opened on Sunday with residents checking out the new range of sports, health and recreational options that are now available in town.
The stateoftheart complex features a 25metre pool, a specially designed warm water program pool and a separate leisure pool for children.
Visitors were treated to a tour of the rest of the facility which included the gym, café, creche and multipurpose room.
The aquatic and fitness centre is open to the public from 6am on weekdays and 8am on weekends.
It closes 9pm, Monday to Thursday and 8pm, Friday to Sunday.
