CITY of Casey mayor Kevin Bradford has encouraged residents to take part in Anzac Day activities on Tuesday 25 April.
“Anzac Day marks a milestone in our nation’s history; it is the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (Anzac) forces during the First World War.
“This day of remembrance recognises the sacrifices that those soldiers made, as well as commemorating the efforts of all service personnel who have served Australia in conflicts since,” Cr Bradford said.
A 6am Dawn Service will be held at cenotaph adjacent to the Civic Centre, Magid Drive, Narre Warren and an 11am service will be conducted after the traditional march to the cenotaph in High Street, Berwick.
