ROC buries Panthers

ROC seniors had their second successive win on Saturday with a crushing 98point demolition of Devon Meadows.
Playing excellent wetweather football, the Kangaroos dominated from the outset and by quarter time the visitors knew they were in for a torrid afternoon.
A brilliant second quarter saw ROC kick nine goals, while keeping Devon Meadows scoreless.
Ben Tivendale had an outstanding game and easily won bestonground honours. Michael Barker had his usual classy game and the backline remained in control all day.
The Kangaroos take on Dingley next game and will be looking to continue their winning form with an eye towards the big home game the following week against Beaconsfield.
Scores: ROC 19.10.124 d Devon Meadows 4.2.26.
Goals – ROC: C. White 4, B. Tivendale 3, S. Stanton, J. Goodes, K. Quinn, B. Cowell 2, M. Barker, A. Young, M. Castricum, B. Jones, 1.

ROC played perfect wetweather football to convincingly defeat Devon Meadows by 46 points.
Playing in front and keeping its focus on the ball, ROC outplayed Devon Meadows in all aspects of the game to notch up its second consecutive win.
Fielding probably the strongest side for the year so far, the Kangaroos’ running game and attack on the ball were too much for Devon Meadows to counter.
Sean Sullivan and Scott Rankin showed their liking for the damp conditions and were among ROC’s best. Jason Kilpatrick had his best game so far with a strong third quarter.
Scores: ROC 10.11.71 d Devon Meadows 3.7.25.
Goals – ROC: S. Marchetti, C. Glen, S. McIntyre 2, A. Jones, P. Johnson, S. White, S. Sullivan, 1.
Best – ROC: Sean Sullivan, Shane White, Sean Marchetti, Scott Rankin and Peter Quinn.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 18

The young Kangaroos, already ravaged by injury, lost two more players during Saturday’s game and finished with only 14 on the field against Devon Meadows.
Despite the lack of numbers and being badly undermanned the team showed great courage to fight the game out to the final siren.
In wet and slippery conditions, ROC attacked the ball hard and continued to harass their opponents at every contest. In the end, however, the Kangaroos were overwhelmed by weight of numbers.
Scores: Devon Meadows 17.11.113 d ROC 4.3.27.
Goals – ROC: S. Main 2, S. Delaney J. Minnis, 1.
Best – ROC: Daniel McDonald, Warren Monks, Jayden Vaka, Shaun Main, Rob Borlase.
The Bubba’s Pizza Pakenham Awards went to D. McDonald, W. Monks, J. Vaka.
