BUNYIP Footballers stayed true to their new-found form with a tight win over Kooweerup.
In what was an exciting night of pool, Leigh Greening came out as best player and Peter Miller potted the black for the night.
The close 5-4 match showed how tight this finals series will be.
Nar Nar Goon Blues also had a thrilling win over Nar Nar Goon Reds.
The night went down to the last ball, Andrew ‘Butcher’ Chippendale and Wayne ‘Bluey’ Lester taking the black for the points.
Bunyip Railway stayed on the top with easy 7-2 win over Pakenham Railway.
Best players named by Bunyip were Peter Lieshout, Robert Hurst and Ian Peterson.
Tooradin also had a breezy night with an 8-1 victory over Pakenham Inn and Nick Potter was named best player. The win cements Tooradin in second place on the ladder with eyes on the finals.
Pakenham Hotel had a great 7-2 win over Bunyip Bottom Pub that lifted the team into eighth spot while dropping Bunyip to tenth.
Kooweerup Blues stayed in the top six with a win over Longwarry Blues and with the finals in sight would like to remain there. Best players were Frank Depasquale and Perry O’Connor.
