SOME intriguing and crucial fixtures will be decided in A grade this Saturday.
One of the matches of the round will be at Officer where the Bullants host Cardinia. This clash will be a good litmus test for each club’s prospects and both teams are in good form.
The Bullants recovered magnificently when they appeared to be staring at a loss in the Swamp in Saturday’s round, but the Bulls appear to have the necessary depth to win what is likely to be a very close encounter.
Catani visits Pakenham in what is a crucial game for both teams.
Pakenham is currently a surprise packet with successive victories in the past two rounds and the Blues have been spasmodic and appear to be disorganised and unsettled. However if they are at full strength Catani should prevail.
Both PUT and Devon Meadows appear to be playing well, but both teams are starved of victories.
However the Yabbies surrendered a winning position at Clyde last Saturday, while the Panthers nearly pounced on a win against the reigning premiers Beaconsfield. Devon Meadows is expected to take the points.
Kooweerup and Tooradin is another game that’s hard to predict. The Seagulls may be more much hardened to hard senior games than last season’s Bgrade premiers and should win.
Clyde’s roundthree win against PUT was encouraging for the Cougars and they will be too strong on the turf wicket at Cranbourne for the visiting Emerald team.
Round four tips, with the likely winners shown in capitals:
Officer v CARDINIA, Pakenham v CATANI, Pakenham UpperToomuc v DEVON MEADOWS, Kooweerup v TOORADIN, Merinda Park v BEACONSFIELD, CLYDE v Emerald.
The most interesting game in Bgrade is likely to be at Tooradin where the Seagulls are tipped to plummet against a resurgent Nyora.
