BEACONSFIELD and ROC shared the honours after last week’s round, ROC having the better of seniorgrade contests.
A GRADE

At halftime ROC had increased the lead to 13, but Beaconsfield did not drop its efforts and ended by winning the second half. With the inclusion of new faces, Beaconsfield will improve as the players get to know each other’s games.

B GRADE
Beaconsfield went out hard and got the jump on ROC. The defenders worked together well, sending it back down the court. Beaconsfield found it difficult to maintain its lead against a physical opponent and crowding in attack led to passes missing and the ball being lost. ROC went on to win the game by six goals.
Scores: ROC 40 d Beaconsfield 34.
17 AND UNDER
In perfect conditions Beaconsfield had a convincing 17goal win over ROC. The team worked tirelessly and consistently. It was an impressive start to the season for all players.
Scores: Beaconsfield 34 d ROC 17.
Best: Tarryn Darby.
15 AND UNDER
In a lacklustre start, Beaconsfield did well to lift in the second half to defeat ROC by seven goals. Overall clumsiness made it difficult to make the most of great turnovers, but after positional changes and Beaconsfield improved in the third and fourth terms. Good defence all down the court placed the necessary pressure on the opposition to force errors.

Best: Ellie Gubbins, Cheyenne Douglas.
