SPRINGFIELD Ward Councillor Michael Farley has asked Casey Council for a report on the use and patronage of the council’s community buses.
Cr Farley has asked for details on their times of use, operating hours, and number of passengers carried.
This followed a report to the council on the service.
Casey manager of aged and disability services Sophia Petrov said in the report that the council had six minibuses ranging from nine to 17seaters. Ms Petrov said the fleet cost the council about $101,000 for the 2005/06 year and recouped $53,000 from fees.
She said the fleet provided an important service for transportdisadvantaged people.
