Hard ROC a winner

ROC Netball Club’s Agrade team combined well for a 21goal win against Dingley in round 13 on Saturday.
The defence was strong, creating many turnovers that the attack was quick to capitalise on.
The goalers moved swiftly in the ring and responded quickly to the accurate feeding from attack.
Scores: ROC 68 d Dingley 47.
Best on court for Devon Meadows game: Brianna Rotteveel.

B GRADE

It was a very close, even and entertaining game, with ROC losing narrowly by four goals to ladder leaders Dingley.
Defence pressure was excellent all the way down the court, but a few mistakes and loss of concentration in the final quarter allowed Dingley to get a few goals ahead at the final siren.
Scores: ROC 51 lost to Dingley 55.
J Finn and Son award for Devon Meadows game: Davia O’Hehir. Porter award: Michelle Cranston.

C GRADE

The game was initially slow, due to a lack of concentration.
However, by halftime the team was working well and after a few positional changes, the goals lifted and some consistent netball was played.
The defence worked tirelessly creating many turnovers, while goalers worked well together and shot some excellent goals.
Midcourt lacked a bit of drive, nevertheless kept their heads up during the game.
Score: ROC 23 lost to Dingley 36
Best on court for Devon Meadows game: Rebecca Luxford.
