Kath and May bridge win

BOTH Berwick Bridge Club sections played a seven-table Mitchell on Monday, 14 November.
B grade north/south was won by Kath Willems and May Foley. Second were Narda Baillie and Jean Francis with Carole Westrip and Wilma Hardy third.
East/west winners were Paula Rae and Michael Berry. Second were Doreen Blight and Jan Smith with Corry Van Diemen and Pat Schelling third.
A grade east/west was won by Richard Poole and Peg Bellair. Second were Ellwyn Miskin and Claire Page with Helen Morris and Heather Saunders third. North/south winners were Alan Saultry and Ron Hubbard. George Ashby and Peter Ditchfield were second, with Pat Beazley and Faye Rowlands equal third with Shirley Collins and David Yoffa.
A 13-table Mitchell was played on Wednesday, 16 November.
East/west was won by Faye Rowlands and Pat Beazley from Roger Littlehales and Arthur Perera with George Ashby and Russell Williams third. North/south winners were Henk Van der Ven and Michelle Leach. Second were David Yoffa and Shirley Collins with Heather Saunders and Ashley Davies third.
The five-table Howell on Thursday was won by Shirley Collins and Heather Saunders.
Dianne Nicol and Alan Saultry were second with Michelle Leach and Ashley Davies third.
