Kooweerup toils in vain

KOOWEERUP in E grade played Nar Nar Goon and went down by nine goals in a good standard game at the weekend.
There was clean ball handling from both sides with goals being scored quickly in the opening term. The attack of Shanae Ingram and Sam Belsham did well and at halftime the scores were 12all. Kooweerup remained in touch in the third quarter after Emily Harrison was swung into the centre and trailed by one goal at the final change.
Kooweerup put up a tough fight across the court, but was unable to match Nar Nar Goon’s finish and went down in the end.

F GRADE

Nar Nar Goon scored the first goal but Kooweerup came back and went goalforgoal with defenders Brooke Radings and Jess Chapman doing well. After leading by one goal at quartertime Kooweerup came out strongly and won the quarter to lead by three goals at halftime.
A quick goal each opened the third term and the game remained close. Chelsea Ingram in wing attack played well to the goals and at the end of the quarter Nar Nar Goon was up by one goal. Two quick goals in the final term put Nar Nar Goon in front and Kooweerup struggled to score, managing only three goals in the last quarter.
