Run for life

RELAY for Life (RFL) will hold an information meeting at Akoonah Park, Berwick, at 7.30pm on Wednesday, 8 February.
Spokesperson for Casey Cardinia Relay for Life Natalie Livsay said it was time for people interested in supporting the cancer fundraiser to prepare teams for the event.
She said the information night would explain the event and how people could be a part of it.
“Relay for Life is a 24hour fundraising event with a festival atmosphere as teams camp out and keep the spirit alive by walking or running on the track overnight,” Ms Livsay said.
“The event will be held at Akoonah Park from 6pm to 6pm on Friday and Saturday, 3 March and 4 March.
“Money raised will go to The Cancer Council Victoria for vital cancer research, education and support services.”
Ms Livsay asked interested people to gather friends, family and workmates to form a team.
Registration is $15 a person, with a recommended 10 members per team.
Teams are then encouraged to fundraise and have fun.
Further information about Casey Cardinia Relay for Life is available from Deborah on 0412 850 257 or the RFL hotline on 1300 656 585.
