SCHOOLS across the district will share in a funding windfall to make badly needed upgrades to facilities.
Federal MPs Russell Broadbent and Greg Hunt announced a number of local schools would benefit from funding under the Australian Government’s Investing in Our Schools program.
Pakenham Consolidated School will receive $145,373 to build a music therapy centre and upgrade play equipment and shade structures at the school.
The news was welcomed by assistant principal Gene Carlomagno.
“We are thrilled,” he said. “The local community welcome this money as it supplements our local fundraising efforts.”
Lang Lang Primary School will receive $142,935 for playground equipment and shade and sporting infrastructure and Tooradin Primary School $106,175 for a playground redevelopment, airconditioning and heating.
