Slow start for Eagles

AFTER a slow start in the under18s second semifinal, the Beaconsfield team settled down in the second quarter to play some switchedon football against Narre Warren.
Daniel Calteri started to take control of the ruck and Joel Gibson became a force in the midfield, the forwards started to present themselves better and provided good marking targets, and the Beacy running players gained confidence to go for the ball.
Both teams gave their all in a highpressure game that showed some outstanding skills and commitment from players of both sides.
Score: Beaconsfield 14.12.96 d Narre Warren 10.8.68.
Goals: Jarrad Boumann 3, Joel Gibson, Reece Pater 2, Luke Kowalski, John Noonan, Robert Palazzolo, Ryan Olsson, Michael Brown, Daniel Calteri, Mitchell Collins 1.
Best: Daniel Calteri, John Noonan, Jesse Linkins, Joel Gibson, Paul van Lambaart.
