AN exhibition of country and coastal paintings by Surf Coast artists Jan Dick and Gwyn Wise opens this Friday at the Cardinia Cultural Centre, Pakenham.
Jan Dick is one of Geelong’s most respected painters. She has won awards in all mediums and has had three solo exhibitions and several shared exhibitions.
Her beautiful seascapes of the peninsula and west coast have become her trademark and have sold prolifically both locally and overseas.
Gwyn Wise works in all mediums and has won many awards in oil and watercolour, including the Alcoa Angair Award.
Gwyn has sold paintings to tourists from all over the world and has an ongoing display of paintings at Furios and the Anglesea Art House.
She has taken part in workshops with popular Victorian artists which has helped her to develop her own brilliant, colourful style, further enhanced by all things country.
The joint exhibition will continue until Sunday 28 August.
The Cardinia Cultural Centre gallery is open daily from 10am to 4pm.
