AGED care facilities in Bunyip will get a boost under plans to build 20 units on land adjoining Hillview Bunyip Aged Care hostel.
Cardinia Shire Council recently supported plans for hostel management to buy crown land next to its current site.
The Bunyip Scout Hall is located on a small parcel of the land and a new hall is part of the development plans.
Ward councillor Bill Pearson said the scouts would move to purposebuilt facilities at the town’s recreation reserve under the Hillview proposal.
Cr Pearson said the expansion was a wonderful project for Bunyip.
