Fete is top date

LUCKY dips, an animal farm, showbags, face painting and rides are just some of the attractions planned for the Columba Catholic Primary School fete.
The Bunyip school’s community will celebrate on Sunday, 18 March, and all are welcome.
The Gazette mascot Wally Wombat will be a special guest at 11.30am while other features included performances by the Cardinia Civic Band, singer Casey Fairchild and a taekwondo exhibition.
Sheepshearing demonstrations will be held, the CFA and police will be on hand and vintage cars and miniature ponies will be on display.
Fetegoers can bid in the auction, browse the secondhand stalls, buy homebaked cakes and cookies, plants, gifts and novelties.
Hot food, including a barbecue and Devonshire teas, will be available.
The fete runs from 11am to 3pm at the school in Hope Street.
