CHILDREN and fulltime students in the Pakenham and Berwick areas will get free public transport if the Liberals win the state election.
Bass MP Ken Smith said he had talked to many parents and students who needed financial relief.
“In view of higher fuel costs and concern for the environment generally, this Liberal Party initiative will encourage the use of our public transport,” Mr Smith said.
“So this is a very practical plan.”
