Kooweerup juniors fight hard

KOOWEERUP junior sides had a big win and a loss against Buln Buln last week.

UNDER 15

Playing Buln Buln at home in perfect conditions, Kooweerup played a strong first quarter, posting a 3.2 to nil. Marusic, Carson, R. Bright were getting plenty of the ball.
In the second quarter Kooweerup was getting the ball out of the centre with Krastek, Pellissier and Watson on the wings pushing the ball forward.
After halftime the young Demons continued to share the ball around, D. Robinson created opportunities and R. Osborne scored a good goal.
In the final quarter the Demons teamed well, J. Carew taking a strong mark to pass to Miller for a goal.
The club congraulated Tim Pellissier for reaching 100 games.

UNDER 13

The young Demons came out hard in the first quarter with a quick goal by Jeremy Dower and had a sixpoint lead at the first break.
Both teams were fighting hard for the ball with onballer Trent Hansen working hard at getting the ball down to the forward line for a Tom Kerr goal.
Great play by Glenn Corbett and Jake King in the back line restricted Buln Buln’s scoring to two goals, which put the Lyrebirds in front by three points at halftime.
The third quarter began with the Demons ruck Ashley Miller and rover Brodie Miller both injured and on the bench.
In the final quarter the Demons were still fighting hard but Buln Buln was too strong and stormed home to win by 32 points after a terrific effort by both teams.
