Officer juniors fight it out

OFFICER Cricket Club’s under15 team fought hard against Pakenham, but fell 23 runs short.
Pakenham batted first and made 7/94 with Officer being 9/71 in reply, although at one stage the Bullants were looking good at 2/42 before losing quick wickets.
Tom Marks (four fours) and Taylor Joyce equally top scored with 23.
Lewis Bond and Jye McManus both scored 4 runs each. Bond also bowled tightly for 2/13 off four overs and also picked up a runout. Ben Martin was also quick with the new ball and took 2/12 from four overs.
Jye McManus and Matt Hutson both had figures of 1/4 from 2 overs.

UNDER 13

Officer played Beacy Eagles and made 8/29, but was a few players short due to the holidays.
Adam White top scored with 8, N. Selleck 6 and Jake Tivendale 5 not out.
Beacy Eagles made 3/133 in reply.
N. Selleck, Luke Chidwiggin both took wickets and Jayden Kerr picked up a runout.
The under 17s will resume this weekend with a twoday game at Cardinia on the main ground.
