PARKING facilities at Pakenham railway station will get a $500,000 upgrade if the Liberals win the state election.
Bass MP Ken Smith and shadow transport minister Terry Mulder said the funding would be a boost to plans to upgrade parking around the railway station.
Mr Smith said rail commuters could look forward to having a convenient car park with security fencing, lighting and a sealed surface if the Liberals win ther state election.
“When you’ve had a tough day in town and you arrive back at Pakenham to find you’ve been fined for illegal parking or you’ve had to walk a kilometre to your car, you’d have every reason to be upset,” Mr Smith said.
