Sober message

PAKENHAM Police were pleased with a recent drinkdriving operation in Emerald that resulted in no motorists being caught over the legal limit.
Officers conducting Operation Holly tested 91 drivers, issued three speeding fines and two vehicle defect notices.
One motorist was also caught driving while disqualified.
Sergeant Peter Garten said police wanted to send a message to the community around the Emerald area that drinkdrivers would be caught.“There is a small perception that people will take a risk in the hills but we will continue our police presence in the area,” Sgt Garten said.
