The Goon tops the ladder

NAR Nar Goon Netball Club’s Agrade team heads the EDNA ladder after a close win against top team Poowong by two goals on Saturday.
The game was a great display of netball skills and courage that delivered everything the spectators came to see.
Nar Goon gave Poowong a sixgoal start, but came back strongly in the second quarter for a nailbiting finish.
Sam Hodge was brilliant in defence for a wellearned best on court.
Scores: Nar Nar Goon 48 d Poowong 46.

B GRADE

Nar Nar Goon played a brilliant game to come out winners against higher placed Poowong. The defence was strong and there were less unforced errors throughout the game.
Scores: Nar Nar Goon 44 d Poowong 38.

C GRADE

After a slow and disappointing first quarter, the Goon then played productive netball for the next two.
Bianca Lowen played a good second half in defence for her first game with the Goon. Rebecca Pimm continues to improve every week and her game earned her best on court award this week.
Scores: Nar Nar Goon 17 lost to Poowong 33.

17 AND UNDER

The Goon played a great game with all players contributing to a strong victory over Poowong.
The Goon led at every change, with all players swapping positions.
Leesa Bartlett took out the award for her hard work in defence.

E & C Joinery Best Player Award: Leesa Bartlett.

15 AND UNDER

Nar Nar Goon was undermanned with Haley Dore going down in the warm up.
Brittney Stocco stepped up to wing attack and did a great job feeding to the goalers. Meaghan Douglas moved well and goaled accurately to take out the award this week for best on court.
A great team effort and strong win.

13 AND UNDER

A solid team effort secured a welldeserved win for the Goon.
The team displayed a lot of support and encouragement and adjusted well to the conditions.
