Wickers wilt as ROC rules

AN 11goal haul by fullforward Ryan Donaldson was not enough to save Berwick as ROC took the game by six points on Saturday.
Berwick got off to a good start with good play and a desire to win on its home ground.
Coach Ronnie Burns left the ground early in the game with a hamstring twinge and the Wickers seemed to lose their rudder with ROC leading by 26 points at the main break.
ROC was magnificent in the second quarter kicking nine goals to Berwick’s three.
Donaldson kicked five goals in the first half.
Berwick kicked seven goals for the third quarter to be five points up at the last change.
However ROC added four goals five in the final term to the Wickers two goals six.
