Young Kangaroos in charge

OFFICER Kangaroos under15 team produced a strong last quarter to defeat Endeavour Hills by 73 points at the weekend.
The game was played in perfect conditions, allowing for a good skill level by both sides.
Endeavour Hills opened the scoring with a goal and Officer Kangaroos replied.
The Kangaroos had more of the ball and showed some good teamwork.
In the second quarter the Kangaroos had plenty of the ball and pushed forward allowing N. Adams to take some good marks and goal.
In the third term, Endeavour Hills played with more spirit and scored five goals with the Kangaroos coming back in the last five minutes.
In the final quarter the Kangaroos lifted their work rate and put on four goals.
It was a good win highlighted by eight players contributing to the scoring.

Officer Kangaroos started well against Fountain Gate on Sunday.
After an even first quarter, the Kangaroos took control of the game in the second term.
With 50gamer Cam Abbott doing well in the ruck, Daniel Jeavons was dominating the game from centre halfback and onballers Mark Vandenacker and Daniel Ellett winning possessions in the midfield.
Up forward, debutantes Brad Thompson and Cam Woods from the under 13s, were solid contributors with the latter scoring a clever goal.
With Fountain Gate kicking three goals in the third quarter, the Kangaroos regained the ascendancy, but could only manage five points.
Trailing by two points at threequarter time, Officer was unable to score in the last quarter.
Score: Fountain Gate 7.6.48 d Officer Kangaroos 4.8.32.
