Beaconsfield on target

BEACONSFIELD Netball Club’s Agrade side put together four strong and consistent quarters to down TooradinDalmore on Saturday.
With Tooradin threatening several times, the girls increased the pressure to win by nine goals.
Scores: Beaconsfield 45 d TooradinDalmore 36.

B GRADE

Beaconsfield got a great start scoring five unanswered goals.
With the defenders continually turning the ball over, Beaconsfield went into the halftime break with a good lead.
This continued for a good win by 17 goals.
Scores: Beaconsfield 47 d TooradinDalmore 30.

C GRADE

After a close loss to Pakenham the previous week, Beaconsfield was determined to show why it was last year’s premiers.
After an unsettling first quarter, Beaconsfield stood up to the challenge, fighting back in the second.
Kat Powell and Sarah Garrett were strong in the goal ring, gaining more confidence after each goal.
Emma Wallis, Sarah Battista and Debby Stacey worked hard to move the ball down the midcourt, with Shelley Ziesler and Kirsty Busuttil providing support in the third quarter.
Lauren Kowalski and Sarah Wyatt provided pressure in the defence, despite their height.
Scores Beaconsfield 33 drew with TooradinDalmore 33.
Best Beaconsfield: Sarah Wyatt, Kat Powell.

17 AND UNDER

Beaconsfield went down by 25 goals.
Scores: Beaconsfield 10 lost to TooradinDalmore 35.

15 AND UNDER

In what was another tough game against TooradinDalmore, Beaconsfield took a while to settle into the first quarter.
There were some excellent passages of play throughout the game, but a lack of good leads and strong defence from the opposition kept victory at bay.
Shooter Ellie Gubbins and Melissa Rooke put up some magnificent shots, with Bec Van Steensel and Naomi Allardyce working hard to feed in well at times.
Claire Van Lambaart played her usual tough game, running and fighting hard.
Defenders Cheyenne Douglas, Ruby Meade and Stacy Lizars had a hard task and worked well together to place pressure on their opponents.
Scores: Beaconsfield 19 lost to TooradinDalmore 33.
Best Beaconsfield: Ruby Meade, Melissa Rooke.

13 AND UNDER

Again another strong game and win to Beaconsfield.
Sarah Bell made a great transition to goals and Kaitlyn Paligorov showed good skills in defence.
Overall it was a very disciplined game with strong and accurate passing.
Many turnovers were moved quickly into attack and finished with accurate goaling.
Scores: Beaconsfield 55 d TooradinDalmore 7.
Best: Sarah Bell and Dannielle Llinares.
