CASEY Council has called on the State Government to extend public transport services to Casey Fields east of Cranbourne.
Casey mayor Kevin Bradford said this was needed to accommodate thousands of sports enthusiasts and families expected to use the newest and largest sports and recreation complex in the south east.
The council agreed to write to the Premier Steve Bracks and Transport Minister Peter Batchelor to request that the bus service be extended to the Blue Hills Retirement Village and Casey Fields on the BerwickCranbourne Road. The council wants bus services to operate from 8am and 10pm daily.
