ROC only a chip away

ROC Netball Club’s Agrade lost a tight game to Pakenham by one goal in round 10 on Saturday.
The defenders were strong and tight, creating many turnovers.
The team worked well together in the centre, driving the ball down the court and the goalers shot accurately throughout the game, providing a tough opposition for Pakenham. Scores: ROC 42 lost to Pakenham 43.

B GRADE

In an excellent team effort ROC played consistently for three quarters, resulting in a 19goal win over Pakenham.
Defence and encouragement all the way down the court was excellent.
ROC capitalised on the turnovers and created many opportunities.

C GRADE

Despite ROC’s determination and consistency, it was unable to capitalise on the turnovers.
The centre court became crowded at times, making it difficult to drive the ball down the court.

17 AND UNDER

Despite such a large loss, ROC worked hard and tirelessly to put the pressure on Pakenham down the court.
ROC was strong in defence, however was unable to use its possession to score the goals needed.

15 AND UNDER

ROC found it tough to match up to a tall team, however it remained positive and played the game out with determination. Best was Aimee Barling for her great drive through the centre and swift movement.
Scores: ROC 6 lost to Pakenham 46.

13 AND UNDER

A slow start to the game saw ROC down by 12 goals after the first half.
However, after a few changes ROC fought back hard in the final half with a team effort with immense pressure down the court.
