Bomber bowlers supreme

EMERALD’S Bgrade bowlers were on target against Beaconsfield, dismissing the home side for 170 in a rainaffected game on Saturday.
Both A and Dgrade games were washed out.
The Bombers bowled first and made the most of the humid conditions as Mick Borkowski and Dan Leversha claimed three early wickets and Beaconsfield was 3/12 after 12 overs.
Lucas McGann and Owen Thorne came on and continued the pressure as McGann picked up two wickets to have Beaconsfield 5/50.
After tea the Bombers toiled hard as a good spell from Euan Thoms went unrewarded and then Borkowski came back on and picked up two more wickets.
After 53 overs the rain set in and play was abandoned with Beaconsfield on 7/170.
Borkowski finished with three wickets and Leversha and McGann two.
Owen Thorne and Greg Hamilton held some excellent catches.
