Film a pearler

ON A trip to the cinema last week Pakenham Senior Citizens Club members enjoyed the film The Queen of Sheba’s Pearls.
This was the last movie visit for this year, with the next one in February.
Members celebrating birthdays this week are Lois Pownceby, Eileen Elliot, Don Shaw, Kevin Atkins and Muriel Clarke. Happy day to all of them.
Peter Hardwick is in hospital and members all wish him a full and speedy recovery.
Welcomed back were Sheila Kerr and Aileen Sweet, and new members Frank and Margaret Pickering were also welcomed.
Coming events are Cliche Fashions on Monday, 21 November and the Christmas lunch outing to Kinglake on Wednesday, 23 November.
Coach leaves from the centre at 9.30am.
Little Tatts winners were Frank Booker, Betty Browney, Janet Macreadie and Betty Clark, and door prizes went to Ivy Meeds and Betty Koopman, while Beryl Isherwood, Edie Robertson and Don Shaw where the lucky raffle winners.
There were 144 members attending.
