Nyora started the chase on Saturday at 2/6.
After loosing Adam Tagliaferro early, Mark Pearse and Brent Hackett came together and took the score to 46 before the latter went for 13.

D GRADE

Playing Emerald, Nyora batted first on day one and after two quick wickets, Billy Hessels joined Billy Hayes at the crease and they put on 94 runs.
After Hessels was dismissed for 40, wickets fell rapidly with Hayes one run short of his maiden senior half century, being caught on 49. The rest of the team showed no fight, being dismissed for 120.
Jacob Bohmer and Billy Hayes took the new ball. Emerald got on top and at stumps was 2/54 with both bowlers taking a wicket each.
Day two saw Jacob Bohmer rip through the Emerald side and almost single handedly bought Nyora back into the game. His 5/39 off 16 overs destroyed Emerald having it reeling at 8/77.
The tail waged and it wasn’t until a bowling change with Andrew Cavagan bringing on the spinning duo of himself and Luke Tagliafero that the breakthrough came.
A diving catch by Daniel Morrison off Cavagan saw Emerald dismissed for 128.
Nyora’s second innings started with a blustery opening partnership Between Daniel Morrison and Luke Tagliaferro, which ended when Morrison was caught at 1/33.
Brian Knight came to the crease and made 57. Michael Lewis in his second game batted for 12 overs for 10
Nyora finished at 4/118, an eightrun win.

UNDER 17

Nyora won the toss on day one and batted first against Cardinia.
Jake Hackett opened the batting and was still there at the end of Nyora’s innings on 59 not out.
However no one else troubled the scorers with the next best batsman being Luke Tagliaferro on six.
Having only eight players, Nyora finished the innings at 7/98.
Cardinia had to face two overs to see the day out and at stumps was 1/8, Luke Tagliaferro taking a catch off Jake Hackett’s bowling.
On the second day Cardinia dominated and soon had control of the game and at stumps was 7/184.
Wicket takers were Jake Hackett (2/23), Billy Hayes (1/36), Luke Tagliaferro (3/31) and Nick Vanagtmaal taking his first wicket for 12.

UNDER 13
