One to remember

Philip Lawson
I HAD a variety of tasks including crowd control, usher, accreditation control, and part time in the information booth.
I met some very interesting people including H.R.H. Prince Edward, Premier Bracks, Mayor of the Village Steve Monaghetti and many of the Australian and overseas athletes.
The hardest part of my 10 days at the Games was the alarm call at 4.30am to catch the early train to the city!
I did, however, enjoy my time very much as I found the crowds were very relaxed and friendly and with our distinctive uniform was often approached by fellow travellers interested in my role as a volunteer.
My colleagues came from far and wide, from all over Australia and even overseas and I made many lasting friendships.
It was a wonderful experience and one to remember.
